Soccer Saturday – Digital Backdrops

Our digital backdrop designs for Soccer Saturday ran on air for over a decade, featuring a distinctive three-sided screen arrangement surrounding the presentation desk.

This design is an evolution of the architectural concept we developed for Sky Sports News. The details, materials, and overall aesthetic were carefully continued across both projects, creating a visual narrative that these interiors belong to the same building complex.

The scene combines modern architectural elements with a clean, professional style, reinforcing the Sky Sports brand identity while offering a flexible and immersive environment for live broadcasts.

Notably, this design has since been immortalised in popular culture, appearing in the TV series Ted Lasso, where Roy Kent steps into the role of a TV pundit — albeit a somewhat reluctant one.

This project highlights how thoughtful, consistent design across multiple productions can create a lasting visual identity that resonates both on screen and beyond.
