MUTV Virtual Set Designs Added to Website
We have added a new case study to our website showcasing the virtual sets we designed and built for MUTV in 2013. The project involved creating a series of designs for different programmes, all produced in a greenscreen studio equipped with a NewTek TriCaster.

One of the featured designs is for Thursday Focus. The brief was to create a domestic front room that might belong to Manchester United’s most dedicated fan. The set was filled with portraits of legendary players, models of the club’s many trophies, and subtle touches in the team’s colours, creating an environment that was both warm and unmistakably linked to the club’s identity.
Virtual sets can be achieved through many different approaches — from high-end, fully tracked Unreal Engine workflows to simpler, more affordable setups. The NewTek TriCaster offers one of the most cost-effective and effective solutions for budget-conscious clients. It is particularly well suited to small studio facilities that may not yet have access to camera tracking systems, but still want to deliver professional, visually rich results.
This MUTV project is a strong example of how good design and thoughtful detailing can make a virtual set feel authentic and engaging, even within technical and budget constraints. The full case study can be viewed here.
